This image may show Joseph Bain, coalman, who only had one arm. He kept his horse and cart next to Betty's Brig which was the iron bridge over the Glaisnock Water leading to McCartney's Works. His grandson was Freddie Williams, bookmaker and businessman, who died in 2008. |
