Gilbert Wilson's lorry, Beith

| Date From | 1939 | A Gilbert Wilson lorry [registration CS 2473] loaded with sacks of produce. With the pipe and bonnet is Gilbert Wilson himself (1879 - 1957) of Brae Farm, Dunlop together with his son, Alex Wilson. Gilbert had 10 lorries, and his business was based at Laigh, Burnhouse from 1916 to 1942. He then sold to Kerr of Kilwinning. Gilbert was also responsible for putting electricity into the village of Burnhouse during 1930-32. |
