| Date From | 1955 | General view of Whighams wine cellars (18th century) beneath their shop in Academy Street, Ayr. The picture have been taken in the mid seventies when Ian Cumming was Managing Director of Whighams (1968-1999and non-executive Director until 2004). The business was sold to Corney & Barrow Ltd. (The Queen's
Wine Merchants) in 1994 as the result of which it holds 3 Royal
Warrants. The property & cellars are still owned by Mr Cumming. |
