| Date From | 1960 | Setting up the machine with spools of yarn at Chiltern Brothers Ltd. Girvan. Chiltern Brothers were one of the longest established occupants of the Grangestone Industrial Estate, which was developed from 1963 on the site of a Second World War explosives factory. Their knitwear factory was built in 1970 and operated on the same site until the company closed in 2003. |
