A creel of fish is winched between a fishing boat and a waiting lorry. The herring ring-netter is probably the Dunure-based Dewy Rose II (BA 30) The fisherman on the right is Hugh McCutcheon of Dunure who achieved local fame and a Royal Humane Society award in 1938 for saving the life of a shipmate in a storm off Troon.
