Transport / Roads

<< Back

There are approx. 1,500 miles of roads in Ayrshire. Trunk roads and motorways (2005) link the city of Glasgow with most of the major towns in Ayrshire and there are good roads links between the main centres of population within Ayrshire. The Ayrshire roads are well constructed which befits the county of birth of John Loudoun McAdam (Tar McAdam).
